A spreadsheet is part of a software program that simulates a worksheet displaying data values in a grid of rows and columns. The columns are labeled alphabetically while the rows are labeled numerically; rows and columns intersect at cell points. A formula may be written into a cell to facilitate mathematical computations needed to arrive at a value. Spreadsheets enable individuals to organize information quickly–at least with relatively small data sets. Arguably, spreadsheets are the most commonly used software for Business Intelligence.
